Asako Tsumagari, MBA, Founder and CEO - Asako is a CEO and Founder of Mevident, Inc, a network of wellness providers, serving the corporate wellness programs with its comprehensive HRA platform and onsite provider services. Prior to founding Mevident, Inc., she managed various projects as Senior Director at Philips Healthcare for their consumer healthcare business portfolio, including disease management solutions, healthcare IT solutions, employer-sponsored wellness tools, and health behavior change educational solutions. Asako is an expert of corporate strategy and organizational management through her eight years of her positions as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and management consultant at McKinsey. Asako holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Phil Hardaker, Chief Technology Officer - Phil brings more than 20 years of leading the development of database-driven enterprise and internet applications and is passionate about bringing web technologies to deliver unique value to education, wellness and community that are otherwise unobtainable. Phil is recently working as a web developer at numerous organizations such as Learning as Leadership, Care2, Norcal USFA, GoLightly Community, Taproot Foundation among others. He also served as IT Application Manager at Avolent. Phil holds MSEE from California State University-Northridge, a BSEE from UCLA and served in the US Army.
Celina Pagani-Tousignant, MA, Director of Corporate Consulting -Celina has managed an EAP program at Pacific Gas & Electric Co, as well as Work/Family Initiatives at Levi Strauss & Co in 1980s and 1990s. Since late 1990s, she has taken a number of influential positions including the President of the local EAPA San Francisco Chapter, Vice Chair of Examinations of Employee Assistance Certification Commission, and Co-Chair of the Friends of Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute Board at UCSF among others. She continues to teach EAP, Work/Life, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Boston College, World at Work, John F Kennedy University, and institutions in Chile, Mexico and Germany. She is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist, and holds MA in Psychology from John F Kennedy University.
Ricky Fishman, D.C., Director of Onsite Services - Ricky has been a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1986, and the Co-Director of Chiromedica, an Integral Holistic Health Care Center, since 1988. As a leader in the field of Integral Healing, he has brought together and assimilated the work of Chiropractors, Medical Doctors, Acupuncturists, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Physical Therapists and Massage Therapists. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Fishman worked as the staff Chiropractor for the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic from 1986-2002, where he participated as part of a broad based group of health care providers, working to deliver services to the uninsured population of San Francisco. To complement his clinical work, Dr. Fishman was a Professor of Humanities at New College of California for over twenty years and has also taught Integrative Medicine at both the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley.
Minna Yoon, N.D., L.Ac., Director of Wellness Science - Minna is a naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist, licensed in both professions in California and practices in San Francisco. She obtained her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and Master of Science of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is currently further advancing her study in Dermatology. Minna helps people to bring the body into balance and optimize their health through natural means, and can work in conjunctions with pharmaceuticals if needed. Minna is the legislative chair for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association and a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP).
Katherine Anderson, Marketing - Katherine has created wellness programs for clients including IDEO, The North Face, and Sports Basement. She has also led team challenges at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She holds a holistic health counselor certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and serves as an adjunct Professor of Nutrition in the University of Virginia's Semester at Sea program. Katherine competes as a sponsored athlete in the Ironman Triathlon.
Zheren Zhang, Lead Engineer - Zheren graduated from Stanford University with a Master of Science in Computer Science and is passionate about creating technologies that can make a difference in people's lives. He also holds a B.A. in Business Economics and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA. In his spare time, he likes travelling, playing video games, and watching movies.
Jamie Burns, JD, RN, MPH, Compliance Advisor - Jamie is an accomplished Attorney with expertise in health law, compliance, quality and clinical operations. She is serving in legal and compliance positions to various disease management, healthcare utilization management and healthcare IT companies including Medicalis Corporation and Alere. Previously, she was Chief Compliance Office at Care To Care and NIA (now Magellan). She also held number of clinical management positions in government, nonprofit and for-profit settings. She has JD from American University and MPH from George Washington University.
